In this complete 12 Day Safari + Zanzibar adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to fulfil all of your wildest wanderlusting ambitions by embarking on an amazing 5 day/4 night safari exploring Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks and the amazing ecological wonder – the Ngorongoro Crater. After you’ve completed this mind-blowing experience, we’ll whisk you off to one of the most exotic and beautiful islands in the world – Zanzibar! During your 7 days/6 nights on the island, you’ll explore the historic sights and magical vistas in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After 2 days, we’ll take you to the northern tip of this paradise on earth, where you’ll spend the next 4 days relaxing, partying, or living out your inner-Jaques Cousteau at Kendwa Rocks, located just outside of the town of Nungwi. This area is consistently rated as having one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and with all of the options available for activities, you’ll be able to make this experience everything you were hoping for and more!

All of the safari cruisers are built to maximize comfort and viewing experience. Each cruiser seats 8, including 7 seats for the tour participants and the other for our expert driver-guide. Everyone will have their own window, and during the game drives the roof will be opened to allow everyone to stand, view, photograph, and get up-close with the wildlife. Everyone will always be able to capture and experience every moment, without obstruction.
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Your mind will be blown as we take you through the lush and dramatic Tarangire National Park. This rich ecosystem offers a large and diverse range of wildlife. You will see zebra, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, impala, lions, and the largest concentration of elephants in all of Tanzania. You will explore many different areas of Tarangire, with expansive views of the Great Rift Valley, Tarangire Hill, and Lake Burungi. Especially amazing is the stunning sunset you will experience while perched above the baobab dotted landscape.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Your thrilling African safari only gets better as we then take you to the iconic Serengeti National Park. This rugged and vast savanna offers everything you will have ever dreamed of experiencing on your African safari! The Serengeti is home to large groups of cheetahs, hippos, hyena, lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos. The Serengeti is also home to one of the worlds greatest natural wonders: the great wildebeest migration! We’ll spend two nights exploring the far reaches of this expansive and ever-changing wildlife paradise.
You will be truly inspired when we move on and visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Crater). This extremely rare and breathtaking oasis is a renown haven for wildlife. As we descend into the crater you will catch the early morning sunrise over the surrounding cliffs while the majestic wildlife that roam this paradise offer you the ultimate HD experience as they hunt and move throughout the crater.
Tucked 25km from mainland Tanzania, surrounded by the warm, turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean; your perfect holiday awaits… The spice island of Zanzibar offers everything you could possibly want from a holiday – World Heritage intrigue, old world romance, clear waters, and white sand beaches. A Zanzibar vacation excites all of your senses, and is one you won’t soon forget.
You’ll begin with a scenic flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) passing Mount Kilimanjaro, over the Great Rift Valley touching down in Zanzibar. Your first 2 nights are spent in historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll be based in the bustling heart of Stone Town, staying at the stunning Swahili House, one of the most unique and popular Zanzibar hotels. The Swahili House was originally used as an Indian merchant house in the 19th century. In the 125 years of history that followed, the building housed one of many Sultan’s that ruled Zanzibar. The authentic and beautifully appointed rooms are matched by the incredible view from the rooftop terrace. From here you can explore the narrow alleyways, spice markets, and coral stone buildings that make up this exotic and must-see destination.
Following your adventure in Stone Town, it’s time to hit the beach! You’ll journey just over 1 hour to the northern tip of the Island to Kendwa Rocks, where true paradise is found. Many have called Kendwa Beach one of the very best beaches in the world and is one the most popular destinations in our Zanzibar vacation package. Sunbathing may be enough, but you can also snorkel, dive or fish while enjoying a sail on the warm turquoise waters. Breathtaking sunsets are an everyday thrill and moonlighted nights on the white sand beach, make for the perfect getaway. Kendra Rocks is also home to the famous Zanzibar Full-Moon Party. This monthly party attracts people from all over East Africa to Kendra Rocks for a night of music, dancing, and Zanzibari hospitality. Kendwa Rocks is also home to a full service spa, and 5 Star PADI Dive Center.
Following your 4 relaxing nights at Kendwa, you’ll fly back to Arusha Airport (ARK) and continue on to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return journey home. Until next time!

Following your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a Wild Mind representative who will provide transportation to Honey Badger Lodge where you will stay the night. Your Bed and breakfast accommodation is provided at this tranquil lodge with views of iconic Mount Kilimanjaro.

Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, you will be collected at Honey Badger and begin your safari by travelling through the picturesque Great Rift Valley to Tarangire National Park. This takes approximately 3 hrs. Tarangire National Park is spectacular in the dry season through to well into the rainy season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elands and oryx gather until the onset of the rain, when they migrate again to good grazing areas. The crown jewel of Tarangire National Park are the massive numbers of African elephants – the park holds the largest number of elephants in all of Tanzania. Following your game drive you will make your way to your Lodge and enjoy your dinner and a good night’s rest.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After a delicious breakfast at your safari lodge, you’ll embark on a morning game drive exploring every corner of this beautiful woodland savanna. Tarangire offers ample opportunities to capture much of the wildlife you’ve dreamt of seeing during your African safari. Afterwards, you’ll journey to the Nabi Gate of Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. You’ll be treated to an evening game drive (time permitting), and a delicious dinner and restful nights sleep at your lodge.

Serengeti National Park
The iconic Serengeti National Park has the stunning landscape that earned it the Maasai name Serengeti – Endless Plains. Today you’ll spend the entire day exploring this diverse and expansive landscape, with opportunities to spot all of the “Big Five”, as well as many other wildlife species, and the natural wonder of the world, the great migration. Before dark you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and a restful nights sleep.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full day game drive in the Serengeti, and then later in the afternoon you will exit Serengeti National Park into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, eventually arriving at your lodge for the evening.

Ngorongoro Crater & Zanzibar Arrival
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven down into the Ngorongoro Crater and will enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive. This is undoubtedly one of the best places to see the rare black rhino in Africa, not to mention the large prides of lions, and the magnificent black-mane lions. There are lots of colourful flamingos and various other species of water birds. In the crater you are also likely to spot leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, many members of the antelope family, and a variety of other small mammals. In the afternoon we will drive you out of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will depart on a short evening flight to Zanzibar.

Stone Town, Zanzibar
After breakfast on the rooftop of Swahili House, where you will be treated to amazing views of this UNESCO World Heritage city, you will have the day to freely explore the narrow alleyways, markets, and charming corners of this picturesque medieval town. You’ll also have the option to organize various different guided tours, including: Stone Town walking tour, Spice market tour, and Prison Island tour.

Stone Town to Kendwa Rocks
After breakfast, and some last minute shopping, you’ll be provided transport to Kendwa Beach, Zanzibar. Kendwa Rocks is a one hour drive from Zanzibar Town, towards the northern tip of the island, and is home to one of the most fantastic beaches in the world! From the beach you see the lighthouse of nearby Tumbatu Island. Sunbathing may be enough, but you can also snorkel, dive or fish while enjoying small boat trips on the turquoise waters. Breathtaking sunsets are an everyday thrill and moonlighted nights on the white sand beach, make for the perfect getaway. You’ll have the opportunity to organize a number of different activities depending on your interests, such as: snorkelling, scuba-diving, kite/wind surfing, sunset or day cruises, Tumbatu island tours, turtle sanctuary tours, etc. There is also a full-service spa available at Kendwa Rocks if you’d rather just enjoy a little r’n’r!

After breakfast at Kendwa Rocks, you will be provided with transportation to Zanzibar Airport, where you will fly from Zanzibar to Arusha (ARK). You will be met by a Wild Mind Travel representative at Arusha Airport, and will be provided further transportation to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your International departure flight.
