5 REASONS WHY TANZANIA IS THE PERFECT HOLIDAY

5 REASONS WHY TANZANIA IS THE PERFECT HOLIDAY

1. MIND BLOWING WILDLIFE

As a proud 90’s kid, I remember walking out of the theatre after watching the Lion King wanting nothing more than to transform into Simba and live my life as the King of the Jungle… While modern day science has yet to find a way for me to do this, exploring the incredible wildlife in Tanzania’s national parks is really the next best thing. From the scores of elephant herds in Tarangire National Park, the great wildebeest migration in the Serengeti, and of course; the mighty lion and lionesses that roam the African Savanna – the great show of wildlife in Tanzania is something one must experience in their lifetime.

2. SPECTACULAR SCENERY

The backdrop provided for all of the exotic wildlife in Tanzania is truly awe-inspiring. The best part of the scenery in Tanzania is how varied and diverse the landscape is throughout this East African country. From the Woodland savanna in Tarangire, the great plains in the Serengeti, the alkaline Lakes dotted throughout northern Tanzania, the towering peaks of the Great Rift Valley; topped off by the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro – to the crystal clear warm waters and white sand beaches of Zanzibar. Tanzania dazzles the senses with it’s incredible beauty.

3. ULTIMATE SENSE OF ADVENTURE

Why settle for mundane or ordinary when you can transform into a modern day explorer? Visiting Tanzania will immediately evoke a strong sense of adventure for seasoned or first-time travellers. The list of available activities here leaves nothing to be desired. Will you embark on a wildlife safari? Climb Mount Kilimanjaro? Visit a Maasai village? Set sail in Zanzibar? The list goes on, and will always leave you wanting more!

4. HISTORICAL CHARM

Immediately when you arrive in Stone Town, the sense of historical charm offered in this UNESCO World Heritage site is unmistakable. As you navigate through narrow alleyways, past century-old spice markets, and mosques, you wonder what life would be like as a Sultan here in the 19th century. Every door here has its own story, and every step you take here will transport you through time to a different world.

5. THE BEST BEACHES

The best way to top off any holiday? The beach of course, and Zanzibar has plenty on offer. After exploring the African wilderness, and historic charm in Stone Town, head up north to Kendwa Beach. Located on the north tip of the island, Kendwa Beach is consistently rated as one of the very best beaches in the world. From its long and wide white sand beachfront, leading into warm crystal clear turquoise water, you could swear this beach is simply a figment of your imagination. Kick-back and enjoy the hot sun with a cold Kilimanjaro lager, set sail to Mnemba Atoll for some snorkelling or scuba diving (it’s so nice that Bill Gates bought the entire island…), dance the night away with one of Kendra Rocks’ world famous monthly Full Moon parties, or dine on dishes inspired by the spices which made this island famous. Zanzibar, like the rest of Tanzania, has it all!

Always proud to be your Oma, Justin, but now you are instilling a yearning for new adventures in me, adventures requiring a younger and fitter me! May everyone who follows you realize that wishes are best fulfilled when the opportunity presents itself. Bucket lists are nice, but some things are best not placed too far down that list into the 'some day' section. Keep on inspiring, Justin.

Spot on with this write-up, I seriously believe this amazing site needs far more attention. I'll probably be returning to read more, thanks for the info!
